SCANDIC LOVER MONKEY
CATEGORY 02 : WEATHERPROOF FIBERS

Natural Wool

Modern apparel retail has flooded the winter season with acrylic blends and petroleum-derived fleece that pill after three wears and shed microplastics into our waterways. Our wool directory returns to pure sheep fleece, where natural crimp, hollow fiber heat retention, and natural lanolin repel sleet and ocean spray.

The Fiber Integrity Standard

To qualify for Scandic Lover Monkey, wool must be sourced from flocks grazing open terrain, washed without aggressive chemical stripping that robs the fiber of elasticity, and woven or knitted at high tension.

Gotland Pelt Wool

High luster, silver-grey fleece from ancient Gotland sheep. Naturally curl-resistant, providing decades of outerwear resilience.

100%

Zero Synthetic Core

Many modern knitters run a polyester yarn thread down the center to cut cost. We accept exclusively mono-material wool compositions.

Superwash Chemicals

We exclude chlorinated 'superwash' treatments that coat wool in polymer plastics. Our wool breathes, self-cleans in cold night air, and repels odors.

The Frost-Airing Care Ritual

Pure wool does not need aggressive weekly laundry cycles. Hang your knitwear outside on crisp sub-zero winter evenings; moisture vapor and frigid air reactivate natural lanolin, shedding odors and restoring elasticity effortlessly.

Moth Prevention & Summer Storage

When winter breaks, store heritage knitwear washed and completely dry inside unbleached linen zippered storage bags with fragrant blocks of red cedar heartwood.
